Residency Program
With the help and vision of Dr. Rick Udin, the main clinic started training 3 full time pediatric dental residents in 1990.
Our residents are also a valuable part of comprehensive patient care at Miller Children’s Hospital--consulting and treating patients in the hospital’s Emergency Department, Hematology/Oncology, Cranio-Facial/Cleft Palate team, as well as providing 24/7 pediatric dental trauma and emergency coverage for the hospital. Additionally, our residents treat medically complex and/or special needs patients in the hospital operating room.
The CDHC Pediatric Dental Residency Program is currently led by our own caring, passionate, award-winning Dr. Afsaneh Matin. The comprehensive training on one campus continues to make the Children’s Dental Health Clinic a sought-after program for pediatric dental residents nation-wide.
