77th Anniversary Gala
the Children’s Dental Foundation thank every attendee and sponsor of the Children's Dental Health Clinic’s 77th Anniversary Gala, held at Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, with mistress of ceremonies Suzanne Rico, Channel 2 CBS News anchor. The event theme “Believe” came to life with extraordinary performances by Company Kids from Orange County Song and Dance, Broadway’s Beauty & The Beast Kim Huber, Phantom of the Opera’s Roger Befeler, and Broadway musical director James May. Highlights of the evening was also a Live Auction hosted by Long beach City Mayor Bob Foster and LA County Supervisor Don Knabe. Those attending had the pleasure of hearing from honorees: Walt Florie on behalf of the Earl B. and Loraine H. Miller Foundation, Lynn Fasnacht, D.D.S., and Jana N. Martin, Ph.D. as they accepted their honors for their dedication and support of CDHC Children and families.
The event raised thousands of dollars to provide life-changing oral health care and education to children of low income families, including those with special needs, such as asthma, autism, HIV/AIDS, cancer, sickle-cell anemia, and cleft palate. In current economic times, hundreds of children are now on a wait-list to see a dentist at the Children’s Dental Health Clinic. The CDHC is in the business of giving children their smiles. Every dollar raised makes a difference in the overall health of a child, and helps a child go to school, eat and sleep--pain free.
